Early Years Foundation Stage outcomes 2017
At Newcroft in 2017, 81% of Reception pupils achieved a Good Level of Development. This compares favourably with the national average of 71% and the Leicestershire average of 70%. The average points for children in Reception was 35.9 compared with 34.5 nationally. Outcomes for our Reception children are very good.
The Symphony Learning Trust has an average GLD 4% above the NA and 5% above the LA average. Again, the Trust APS is comfortably above the NA and LA average.
Year 1 Phonics Screening 2017
At Newcroft, the percentage of pupils who passed the phonics screen in 2017 was 1% below the national average (1 pupil) at 80%. We are looking to improve on this in 2018 as we have always attained outcomes in phonics above national averages in previous years.
A very strong set of performance data for Symphony Learning Trust in 2017. The trust average is 5% above that of the NA. The pass mark for the Phonics Screen remained at 32/40 marks.
Year 2 SATs 2017
In Year 2, children are working towards achieving standards at the expected level or above for the end of Key Stage One as defined by the government's Key Stage One Teacher Assessment Frameworks. At Newcroft, standards attained at the end of Year 2 were above national averages in all areas.

*National Figures for 2017 in brackets
KS1 SATs data shows that, overall, the Symphony :Learning Trust schools are broadly in line with national data.
KS2 SATs 2017
Newcroft did not have Year 6 pupils until 2017-18 so there is no KS2 data for Newcroft for 2017. 2018 will be the first year that Year 6 pupils sit SATs at Newcroft. Children will be assessed against the Key Stage Two Teacher Assessment Frameworks.
In 2017, the Trust marginally outperformed the national average at KS2. Although the combined figure of 61% is in line with the national percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, the Symphony Learning Trust exceeds national data in all areas except reading where it trails by just 1%.
