Newcroft Pupils Open the New Aldi Store in Shepshed!
Five of our wonderful pupils were very lucky to have been invited by Aldi to open their brand local store in Shepshed on 26th September 2024. They opened the store alongside Thomas Young, ex Newcroft Pupil and Paralympic Athlete. Thomas then came along to school to lead a whole school assembly which was so inspiring; what an honour to have an ex pupil who has achieved so highly come back to see us. The children were in awe of him!
Aldi set the school a poster competition titled 'what healthy eating means to me' as part of their healthy eating campaign. Grace in Year 2 was the proud winner and won a £20 Aldi gift voucher. Well done Grace!
A huge thank you to the Aldi PR team and to Thomas Young and his PR team for organising the opportunity and school visit, as well as donating 10 large shopping bags of fruit to the school.
