Curriculum

This half term's topic is 'Shakespearian Summer' and is all about William Shakespeare and the Tudor era. We will be reading the Shakespeare classic, 'Romeo and Juliet' and using this as a stimulus for both narrative writing and play scripts. The children will also learn about what life was like in the Tudor era and the Tudor dynasty within our History curriculum. 

PE days

We ask that parents ensure that PE kits are in school all week and sent home as required for washing throughout the term and at the end of every half term. A reminder that as the weather gets cooler, we ask that parents send their child with a suitable jumper and pair of PE outdoor shoes - which differ to their normal outdoor shoes.

PE days for Mr Wait's class and for Mrs Kirkham/Mrs Pickering's class are on Tuesday and Thursday.

Homework

As per to our school's homework policy, we set homework weekly. This is set every Monday and due on the following Monday.

Each week, pupils will have a Mathematics or English activity to complete, alongside their regular practise of spellings, reading and times tables. We very much appreciate your support with providing opportunities to consolidate and practise your child's learning at home.
