Curriculum

This half term, we will continue our topic 'Olympus Odyssey', and explore the Ancient Greeks in our History lessons in further detail, answering our key question: 'What were the main achievements of the Ancient Greeks?'

In English, our text is 'Who Let The Gods Out?' by Maz Evans. The children will be learning about and then writing instructions and poetry.

In Maths, the children will be consolidating their knowledge of decimals before moving onto our geometry and measurement topics.

In the wider curriculum, the children will broaden their knowledge in a range of subjects. Specifically, they will make their own healthy bolognaise in DT, become VR designers in Computing and learn about 20th Century Music .   

PE 

Miss Porter's PE days are Monday and Wednesday.

Mrs Martin and Mrs Bibb's PE days are Monday and Friday.

Please ensure that your child's PE kid remains in school throughout the week.

Homework

All homework is set on a Monday and will be due the following Monday.

The children have homework set weekly, in either English and mathematics.

We also encourage the children to read three times weekly, as part of our Regular Readers competition.

Spellings are also given out weekly, on a Monday, and will be tested on the following Monday; the spelling rule linked to the weekly spellings is taught by the class teacher.

The children also need to play on TTRS each week as part of their homework.
