Curriculum

This half term, we begin our new topic 'Olympus Odyssey', in which we explore the Ancient Greeks in History lessons and will work towards answering our key question: 'What were the main achievements of the Ancient Greeks?'. We will also extend our learning in Geography, as we study Greece.

PE 

Miss Porter's PE days are Monday and Wednesday.

Mrs Martin and Mrs Bibb's PE days are Monday and Friday.

Some of our Year 5 children will continue their swimming lessons this half term, so please ensure you child is sent with the relevant kit on Fridays.

Please ensure that your child's PE kid remains in school throughout the week.

Homework

All homework is set on a Monday and will be due the following Monday.

The children have homework set weekly, in either English and mathematics.

We also encourage the children to read three times weekly, as part of our Regular Readers competition.

Spellings are also given out weekly, on a Monday, and will be tested on the following Monday; the spelling rule linked to the weekly spellings is taught by the class teacher.

The children also need to play on TTRS each week as part of their homework.
