OPAL

The OPAL Primary Programme is a series of meetings and resources provided by a specialist mentor who will work with leaders at Newcroft to transform playtimes so they provide the most active, fun and sociable play opportunity possible for your child. OPAL's motto is ‘Every child should have an amazing playtime every day, without exceptions.'  We can't wait to start our OPAL journey from Autumn 2026!

What will be different about playtimes?

Your child will have many more opportunities to be active, as the whole school grounds will be used throughout the year. They will have many more opportunities for imaginative play as there will be many objects to play with. Your child can mix with children of all ages and choose where and how they play. Staff will receive specialist training to enrich play.

Find out more here including FAQs for parents.
