PE and Sports Premium Funding
We are funded by the government on an annual basis to improve our PE and Sports provision. We spend our funding on high quality teaching and training in PE and Sports, which allows us to offer high quality lessons.

Swimming at Newcroft
Swimming is an important skill, which supports a healthy and active lifestyle. In accordance with the National Curriculum, we teach swimming in KS2. We use our local pool for swimming lessons, which is within walking distance of our school.
The National Curriculum Programme of Study sets out the expectation that pupils should be taught to:

Swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 meters.

Use a range of strokes effectively.
Year 6 Swimming Outcomes are included on our Sports Premium Reports above.
