Fees, Funding and Sessions

Our Pre-school year starts at the end of August and runs through until July; this is called an academic year.

We take children in our Pre-School from aged 3 and 4. Children can start the day after their third birthday.

Pre-School is open 8:45am to 3:15pm Monday to Friday during term time, which supports the school day and our school holiday periods are also the same as main school.

We offer fully funded places for our Pre-School sessions and wrap around care, using the school's care Breakfast and After School Club, to extend your child's day from 7:30am- 5:30pm daily.

Fees and Funding

ALL children are eligible for 15 hours of Nursery funding a week from the term after they turn three. This is is called the 'Universal Offer.'

Working parents may be eligible for an additional 15 hours a week, an extended entitlement and often called '30 hours funding.'

We accept paid places and funded places from the day after a child's third birthday.

We accept hours split between provisions, meaning your child can attend more than one setting.

Visit the Childcare Choices website for full details on early years funding and government help with childcare costs.

30 Hour Codes

Please check your eligibility and apply for 30 hours of funding before the end of each term, to be used in the next term.

Once you have your code you will be able to use when your child joins Pre-School.

You should apply for your code even if you don’t think at this stage you want to use it. Things might change and the code is only valid from the term after you apply.

Sessions and Costs

Our morning session is: 8:45-11:45

Our afternoon session is: 11:45-3:10 (children will need a packed lunch or school dinner). You can order a school dinner for your child as required day by day, cooked on site by our school kitchen team.

Parents can also book for their child to attend our Breakfast Club from 7:30am or After School Club up to 5:30pm.

Session are charged very competitively at £6.00 per hour.

Children attending the setting should do so for a minimum of 12 hours a week, as set out in our Pre School Admissions Policy, which can be found here.

For more details, please view our Pre School Charging and Remissions Policy.

Please note that parents and carers should give the Pre School 28 days notice of a change in hours or days.

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) - Securing extra funding for your child

The EYPP is extra Government money to boost three or four year old’s early learning. Our Pre-School could get up to £570 a year to help your child’s learning. We will work with you to decide how best to spend the money to ensure your child really benefits.

Your child could benefit from

  • Exciting new learning activities
  • Extra equipment to help with learning
  • Toys, books and equipment to use at home to help them learn
  • One to one or small group sessions
  • Opportunities to widen their life experiences

Find our more from the Leicestershire Local Authority.

Form to apply for EYPP. Please hand this to our Pre-School Manager or ask for a printed copy.
